The image library
that recognises your products.
DAM features, plus AI vision.
A DAM (digital asset management) with the features of professional software — natural-language search, users and roles, share links, automatic formats, delivery to website and social — plus an AI vision model that classifies every photo with your product names, your occasions and the way your marketing team looks for images.
Voler.ai DAM is the system developed in Verona to organise, search and distribute company photos and graphics. An AI vision model classifies every image on eight attributes — product, category, packaging, label text, setting, occasion, mood and content type — and writes them into the file as standard IPTC/XMP metadata. It connects to the archive the company already uses (network drive or cloud) and adds search, sharing, usage tracking and formats ready for website, social and print.
The photos exist, but nobody can find them
Years of product shots, campaigns, events and social posts end up in folders on the network drive, in chats and on phones. File names say nothing, folders follow the logic of whoever created them. To find the right photo, you ask the person who remembers where it is.
The result is time lost on every request, photos reshot because the right one never turns up, formats cropped by hand for every channel and no idea which images have already been used, and where.
Scattered archive
Photos across network drive, chats, phones and shared folders, with no single place to search.
Searching by memory
File names like IMG_4821: a photo is found only if someone remembers when it was taken.
Tags nobody adds
Cataloguing thousands of images by hand is not sustainable: you start and stop after a few folders.
Formats redone by hand
Every channel needs its own format: website, square post, vertical story, print. Every time you start again from the original.
The features of a professional DAM, plus AI vision
The most common professional DAMs handle archive, users and delivery well, but classify with generic labels: “cookie”, “bag”, “table”. Voler.ai DAM adds a classification built on your catalogue and the way you work.
Interactive demo
Try searching the way your marketing team would
A sample library from a food company, classified with the same eight attributes as the real system. Search by word or combine filters, then open a photo to see its data and where it has been used.
Describe what you need
Write the request the way you would tell a colleague. The system searches the real photos and shows the closest ones; if none convinces you, it prepares the request to generate a new one.
- 1Describe. In your own words: product, occasion, mood.
- 2Choose. The closest photos, with the reason why.
- 3Generate. Only if none is enough, starting from the real photos.
Or browse with filters
20 / 20 images
Demo data: sample company, made-up usage, CC0-licensed stock photos. In the real system the attributes are suggested by the AI model and confirmed by the team.
One library
to search, share and publish
Built around the real work of marketing teams: finding a photo for a post in seconds, sending updated material to a retailer, preparing formats for a campaign without reopening a design tool.
Vision classification on your catalogue
The AI model receives your product list and classifies every photo with the right name, the packaging and the legible label text.
Marketing taxonomy
Occasions, moods and content types defined with your team: Christmas, summer, breakfast, gift, behind the scenes, promo.
Natural-language search
Search by word, including label text and captions, and combine category, occasion, mood and content filters.
Where it is used
For every image, the website pages and social posts where it appears: you know what has been published and what is still unused.
Automatic formats
From the same original: web version, square post, vertical story, high resolution for print.
Sharing and portals
Links with expiry and password for agencies, retailers and press. Dedicated collections for campaigns and launches.
Users and roles
Who administers, who uploads and corrects, who browses and downloads: everyone sees and does only what they need.
Delivery to website and e-commerce
Published images are served through a content delivery network (CDN) with stable links to use on the website and shop.
Connected to your archive
It works on the folders you already have: Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint, Dropbox, Box, Amazon S3 or the network drive. Where the source allows it, IPTC/XMP metadata also stay in the files.
Connectors
It connects to where you already keep your photos
There is nothing to migrate. The system reads the folders you point to, on the service you use, and keeps them in sync: photos stay where they are and search finds them all from one place.
Google Drive
Personal folders and shared drives in Google Workspace
Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint
Document libraries and team sites in Microsoft 365
Dropbox
Personal and team folders
Box
Company folders and collaboration spaces
Amazon S3 and compatible
S3 buckets, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2 and other object storage
Company network drive
Synology and QNAP NAS and shared folders on the local network (SMB)
How the connection works
Read-only, on the folders you choose
Access is limited to the folders you indicate and never moves, renames or deletes files. The connection can be revoked at any time from the service.
New photos classified automatically
The system checks the folders and, when a photo arrives, classifies it with the AI model and makes it searchable.
Several sources, one library
Several services can be linked together, for example the office network drive and the agency’s Drive, and searched with the same words.
Metadata in the file or in the index
Where the source allows it, the information is also written into the file as IPTC/XMP; otherwise it stays in the system index, tied to the original photo.
Other services that expose a standard interface (API or WebDAV) are assessed during setup. Connections are activated on your archive during onboarding, they are not pre-installed.
Which companies it is designed for
Voler.ai DAM is designed for SMEs that produce many product and marketing images and use them across several channels: website, e-commerce, social, retailers, catalogues and print.

Collections, colour variants, looks and campaigns to find again by season, line and channel.
Furniture and design
Settings, finishes and configurations: the same collection photographed in different contexts.
Cosmetics and personal care
Sizes, SKUs and labels to keep aligned across e-commerce, retailers and social.
Manufacturing and components
Technical and application photos for catalogues, product sheets and sales-agent material.
Sales networks and retailers
Always up-to-date material to share with agents, shops and partners without emailing folders.
How it is activated
Analysis and taxonomy
We look at the archive as it is today and define products, occasions, moods and content types with marketing.
Connection and classification
We connect the existing folders and the AI model classifies the images, starting from a first test batch.
Review with the team
The team checks and corrects the classification. Corrections improve the rules for the rest of the archive.
Service live
Library, search and sharing in use. New photos are classified automatically as soon as they arrive.
A tailored image library for SMEs
Professional DAM platforms were built for large companies with dedicated teams and significant annual licence budgets. Low-cost solutions are cheap but classify with generic labels, and an SME ends up cataloguing by hand anyway.
Voler.ai DAM starts from the other side: from the products, the occasions and the language that company’s marketing uses to look for images. The AI vision model does the cataloguing, people check and correct.
Developed in Verona by Voler.ai, it is configured on each company’s catalogue and run with a monthly fee that covers classification of new images, updates and support.
Quick answers
The questions marketing teams ask us most often.
- What is a DAM?
- A DAM (digital asset management) is software to store, search, share and distribute photos, graphics and other digital material from one place, with users and permissions.
- How is it different from a traditional DAM?
- Library, search and sharing features are the same. The difference is classification: an AI vision model recognises your products by name and assigns occasion, mood and content type, instead of generic labels.
- Do I have to move my photos?
- No. The system connects to the folders you already use, on Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Amazon S3 or a network drive, and works on them.
- Does the AI make mistakes?
- Sometimes, especially between very similar products or on small, blurry photos. That is why the classification is reviewed by sampling with the team and corrections stay in the system.
- Who owns the images and data?
- The company’s. The information is written into the files as standard IPTC/XMP metadata, readable by other software too: if you ever change system, the cataloguing stays.
- Can I ask for the photo I need in plain words?
- Yes. Write for example “Christmas photos with a gift”: the system searches the photos, shows the closest ones and says what it did not find. If none convinces you, it prepares the request to generate a new one starting from the real product photos.
- How much does it cost?
- There is an initial setup and then a monthly fee, sized on the number of images, users and channels. The first meeting is free and ends with a proposal.
Frequently asked questions
The product and its category, the packaging, the legible label text, the setting (studio, laid table, workshop, outdoors, people), and then the marketing attributes defined with the team: occasion, mood and content type.
Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint, Dropbox, Box, Amazon S3 and compatible storage, plus local-network drives such as Synology and QNAP. Each source is linked to one or more folders you indicate, read-only and without moving or deleting files. Other services with an API or WebDAV are assessed during setup.
Yes. It connects to network drives (NAS) and shared folders on site, or to cloud archives. Photos stay where they are; the system adds classification, search and sharing.
It reads well on sharp, close-up photos. On small, blurry or distant images the model recognises the product, but fine text such as ingredients or batch numbers is not legible.
The system logs how many searches are made and how long it takes from search to download. Comparing that with a starting estimate from the team gives the hours freed each month, without timing anything by hand.
Yes, with links that expire, are password-protected and have download permissions, or with dedicated collections for a campaign or launch. Recipients do not need an account.
The system shows the closest photos and flags which elements of the request it did not find. From there you can prepare the request to generate a new image: it uses the real photos as reference for product, packaging and label and does not alter them. The generated image is saved as such, linked to the source photos and to the request. Generation is an option activated during setup; in the demo it is only shown.
